  • Dog Crack My sister and brotherinlaw rescued a beautiful black labrabull. They had no intentions of adopting a pit bull quite the opposite that was the one breed they wanted nothing to do with. But there at the Northshore Animal League their dog Rosie chose them and they went for it. She's a mellow friendly loving playful athletic family member. As my sis has two boys 9 & 10 they've got the energy to burn exercising their lovable muttigree. One teenyweeny issue she chews. She's only 4 months old so teething may be part of it but based on her lineage the chewing part will last a lifetime. I read up on bull pizzles. Supposed to last a long time and give a digestible safe alternative to typical rawhide bones. I ordered a pack of these. From the reaction from the dog I'll be ordering again and again. Rosie gnawed her very first one is about 15 minutes wagging her tail the entire time.Yeah they do smell a bit but you have to put your nose right inside the bag or get in the dog's face while chewing not advisable my sister said that really stinks. She solved the problem with Ziplock freezer bags.
Very strong stench Maggie loved the bully sticks but we could not tolerate the smell in the house. The pack we got smelled like rotting garbage after sitting in the sun for hours. We froze them to help with the smell but once she starts eating them the odor permeates the room. After eating the bully sticks we have to give her dental treats to get rid of her awful breath.
Variety of bullies You would think that a bull pizzle is created the same right? Right?! I have been procuring bull pizzle for my puppy for the past 6mos. I have bought odor free [read less odor than full stink] bullies regular odor bullies [read first and last 5min is barfinducing] and then these Cadet bullies [read ability to make a human pass out while sealed in the bag]. Apparently not all bullies are created alike and these bullies are not for my lil miss pittie mix. She'll chew on them for a few minutes and leave them. With other bullies she would chew forever. Maybe it was just this batch. In the bag that I got there were about 911 bullies of different lengths and thicknesses. There were about 56 6 fairly thick bullies 2 or 3 thin like a reed bullies and some others. I am sure each bag has a different variety but they were definitely not all large. Unless large has multiple meanings such as small short thin. They somewhat do the job for now but I will go back to other vendors.
12 Inches? Yeah Right I've gotten these from my local pet store and am very picky about getting the tallest fattest one I can locate. Recently the price for one jumped from $2.99 to $4.99 which is ridiculous for a chew stick that lasts no longer than 24 hours on a good day. I learned of this economy package and though there's many many negative reviews I thought I'd give them a whirl. Well I am now in the market for new bull dicks altogether. Exactly half of them were 6 tall and the 12 tall ones were completely anemic. I myself if this was my business would be embarrassed to sell this product. There's clearly no quality control. I cannot speak to odor as I've not opened the package yet so I cannot comment on that. Maybe that would knock off the last star possible.
Would have rated 5 stars a couple of months ago but When I got my keeshond puppy about a year ago I had trouble finding something that he would like to chew that he was supposed to chew until I discovered the wonderful world of Bully Sticks. My vet advised against nylabone which didn't interest him at all anyway and rawhide for puppies so I let my pup browse the pet store shelves and his nose lead him to the Bully Sticks any nose from afar could smell these out. I handed one to him and it was love at first bite. They are quite expensive at the pet store so I was thrilled to see them here on Amazon for such a bargain compared to pet store prices. With all the hype about pets getting sick from products made in China I was also happy to see that these Cadet Bull Sticks are made in Brazil though I know USA would be best.On average I've been buying 2 packages of these Large 1 lb. Bull Sticks a month for about a year. At first my puppy would take at least a whole day to consume one and it was my sanity saver. Any time I needed my pup to just chill out for a while I'd give him one of these long Bully Sticks and he wouldn't want to do anything else until it was finished. Yes they do smell. When you first open the package and if your dog is chewing it by your feet you will definitely be surrounded by the fresh pizzle aroma. Remember what these things are made of though. It's what makes a bull a bull. You also may not want your furry best friend to give you kisses while he's chewing it but the smell does go away quickly and having my dog content and occupied is worth more to me than a brief pizzle smell. Because of their shape they have not posed a choking hazard to my dog nor do they upset his tummy like many other things do.Now if I had thought about writing a review on these Large Bull Sticks months ago I would have given this product 5 stars.
shorter than before This package contains about a dozen bull sticks ranging from 12 inches to as short as 6 inches long. I have ordered those before and the length of previous orders is about 12 inches. This shipment contains more shorter sticks than longer one. I am disappointed at the shorter sticks as my dog is a large breed.
Stinky But My Dog Loves Them! This is one of the only treats that last longer than 5 minutes with our Golden Retriever.
    bully sticks
My dog loves these!! My dog really loves these bull sticks! The smell is not so bad when opening for the first time and definitely goes away completely after a few days.I recommend this product to other potential buyers.
Raging Bull ? Ever asked yourself where all these bull penises are coming from and how they are obtained? It is pretty crazy to kill animals artificially to feed their penises to other animalsguess that is the human species for you.

  • Value of 10 chewbone resealable package

  • My dogs ABSOLUTELY love these. I have greyhounds and these are a great addition to their teeth cleaning routine. It is the only thing that helps other than actually brushing their teeth which I don't do often enough. So what could be bad about this? They help keep my dog's teeth clean and my dogs love them.
Best price This is the largest quantity and price per piece that I have been able to find. Not even the pet stores or whole sale catalogs have so far been able to match this. I love these bones because they last longer then most of the compressed non raw hide chew bones. The drawback is that most stores sell them for about 3 to 3.50 a piece.
Cost My dogs love these bones but these were too expensive. I will try to find them at a lower cost.
Dangerous Choking Hazard My 30 lb. male corgi nearly died from eating this. The thing broke in half and became lodged across the roof of his mouth and in his teeth at the back of his mouth. It took over a hour with a pair of channel locks to get it dislodged from his mouth. It was the small/medium size bone. Purina makes a lot of good dog products but this is not one of them. I called Purina and reported the lot number and what had happened. I just dont want anyone else's dog to choke on this thing.
Removed calculus from my Golden's teeth. I'll apologize in advance for the length of this review but it's more of a story than a review. After adopting a fiveyearold Golden Retriever last year I had to spend a few hundred dollars to have her teeth professionally cleaned. She had a lot of staining on her front teeth and canines and a lot of hard calculus on her large premolars. See image I posted above for reference. The vet had to remove one of her large bottom premolars due to the amount of decay. After the surgery I committed to brushing her teeth two to three times per week but that wasn't enough. The tartar and calculus came back within months. I began to get concerned that I'd have to get her teeth cleaned again and they'd have to eventually remove her other large bottom premolar. Imagine a dog without its bottom premolars! Despite my rigorous brushing the calculus would not come off. Going against the advice of many vets I BBQ'd a slab of beef ribs and let her chew on them but she refused to gnaw on them. She'd remove the meat and leave the bone. I then went to the pet store and spent about $20 on an assortment of chewable bones in hopes one of them would do the trick. The first one I gave her was the Purina Busy Bone. She went right at it and consumed almost the whole thing within 20 minutes. I let her consume the rest of it the following day but didn't expect to see a difference so fast so I didn't inspect her teeth immediately. A couple days later while brushing her teeth I couldn't believe how much of the calculus was gone. I was so relieved that I wouldn't have to get her teeth professionally cleaned again and that I'd found something safe and effective to keep her tartar and calculus at bay. I committed to buying several of these while they were on sale. The only downside to these Busy Bones is that they get really sticky when wet. Your dog's paws and legs WILL be sticky after chewing on one of these so be prepared. Either let them do it outside or plan on wiping their legs afterwards.
Funniest thing I've ever seen a dog do. I first bought a pack of 2 in a store. Our dog Chewy ate the first one but the second one we gave him a few days later he walked around the house with it for hours then went outside and tried to bury it. He never tried to bury a bone before. He dug but wouldn't put it in who wants to eat a dirty bone lol. I bought much more reasonably priced ones on Amazon and now he'll carry it around for hours and tries to bury it under my pillows and covers and my daughter's couch. Then he finally eats it. I read about this from another Amazon customer and couldn't believe my eyes. Have fun with your dog with these Busy Bones.
Dog loves but it is messy I have a 10 month old Weimaraner that loved the Busy Bone Chewbone treat. He has some separation anxiety and they can help keep him calm. It takes him about 1520 minutes to eat but it is long enough for him to calm himself down. I just make sure he keeps it off white stuff. The red center bleeds a little if he drops the wet side down or a piece gets broken off and falls on a light surface. My dog will chew on one end then leave it if he gets distracted then come back and chew on the other end and the wet side dies surface he is on.
THE BEST!!! Healthy and very much loved by my fox terrier and black scottish terrier.I typically prefer giving my dogs bully sticks rather than rawhide but biting the little rice bits off of the rawhide really keeps them busy for hours.
Want a red mess on your carpet? My dog got an hour's pleasure out of a single bone. Thankfully she ate it on a towel that happened to be on the floor. It left a six inch square of red 'stuff' on the towel. Dogfood thrown up ususally leaves an indelible mark on my beige carpet. If the manufacturer had just tinted the ends of the 'marrow' red it would likely have been fine.If you have light colored carpet BEWARE.
Terrible ingredients! The Pugs loved these and although they made a mess of my white slip covers I was thrilled.

  • Bully Sticks are not thick Information is misleading. Product is good quality and odor free but they are definitely not THICK. I have purchased thick bully sticks from BBS before so I know what they should look like. My guess is that these are the standard size. maybe even thin.
Oder Free?? NOT! I bought these specifically because they were listed as oder free.wish I had read the reviews. They are absolutely NOT oder free I can smell my dog chewing on one across the room! I spent a decent amount of money on a large quantity of a product I won't use in my house.guess the local human society dogs will get a treat! Shame on the seller.
Smelly awesomeness for your dog Dried bull pizzle served as a disgustingly smelly stick is every god's gift to dogs. Dogs friggin' love these things. They are much. much better than rawhide. In fact rawhide is terrible for dogs because it is not digestible. Bully sticks are completely digestible. The thick 12 bully sticks from HDP are pretty good. I started to buy them about 6 months ago when my puppy's trainer was recommended bully sticks and nylabones. She liked the nylabones but she LOVES the bullies. When I first bought them from HDP they were uniformly thick about an inch diameter. After the first batch they started to vary in thickness but least one end was about an inch. I assume that it is really hard to make them uniform.
5 woofs for Bully Sticks Gave these to a friend as a present for her Great Dane. He refused to eat his diner until she gave him one.
    odor free
Free range bully sticks If you have puppies this is a MUST BUY!! Pup is happy and now so am I My German Shepherd pup was teething and became a chewing machine. At nearly 50lbs and only 4 months old it was difficult to find something to sooth his insatiable need to chew that he would not go through in less than 10 minutes. He liked the bully sticks I found in a local pet store but I found the smell to be overwhelming and it made his breath stink as well. Once I found out what they were it was even worse. I thought they were tendons when I bought them. I tried rolled bison hide chews but he unrolled them and they became less effective for his chewing needs. Also when I purchased them at the pet stores near my home they cost between $4.99 and $6.99 each so when I buy them in bulk they cost only $2.20 each so they are also a bargin. He loves his bully stick and gets at least a day or two of chewing out of one and now with the odorless ones it is without the bad breath. When buying them like this they cost less and I always have one on hand for him. Yes they still are what they are but the bully sticks keep his chewing needs under control. He has never tried to chew anything in my home after I found the bully sticks so they resolve the typical puppy chewing damage issues as well.
Extra thick bully sticks Very thick no odor just as advertised. I ordered the regular size last time and they were quite thick but these are better for one of my dogs who chews them quite rapidly.
Doggie in love! My German Shepard loves these bully sticks. He is a really good boy when he knows he is getting one as a treat.
Dissapointed I have been buying Bullys for a long time. These are skinny and weak as compared to actual thick bullys. My dog usually takes an hour to go through one but these are gone in a few minutes.

  • Odorless Bully Sticks!! We have three dogs and think the Bully Sticks are so much better than the rawhide chews. We love these Bully Sticks because they don't have the horrible odor that is present after your dogs start chewing them like regular Bully Sticks. They are worth the price.
One of the best chews you can get for you dog My dog loves these and they seem better than most other alternatives clean natural and don't seem to have any problems. My dog is 5560 pounds and used to take two hours to gnaw this down but she has learned to chew it down in an hour. She will chew on this until it is gone she will never walk away from the Bully stick.
Good dog chews These are better and a bit cheaper than the bully sticks I purchased at Petsmart. For some reason I thought from the photo that it was 2 sticks/item thoughshould have read the description. Not as good of a deal as I thought I was getting.
Dangerous can casue death or serious illness SADLY I FOUND OUT THE HARD WAY THAT THESE MOO BULLY STICKS ARE NOT 100% DIGESTIBLE! MY DOG ALMOST DIED AFTER A PIECE DID NOT DISSOLVE IN HER STOMACH. My 3 dogs loved these Moo Bully sticks. I had been giving them to my dogs for over a year with no incident. I was giving these because from all I had researched on this product they claimed to be 100% SAFE AND 100% DIGESTIBLE. I would always take small pieces away from the dogs that I felt could possibly cause a chocking problem. I always had plenty of water close by. One day I noticed my dog Lily was having very loose stools and that were jelly like in consistency. This same day she stopped eating and began vomiting. I immediately rushed her to my veterinarian. Upon his physical exam he noted that her abdomen was hard and distended. He wanted me to leave her with him so he could do a xray. He did and found that she had a blockage in her stomach! He then started a series of Barium xrays to watch the blockage to see if it was going to pass. Over a 4 hour period of watching and repeating these barium xrays it not only showed that the blockage was not passing but the item causing the blockage was swelling in size absorbing the stomach fluids. I was told he had to do emergency surgery to get this blockage out of her ASAP. What he found in her stomach was most definitely a piece of the Moo Bully stick! It had not digested as claimed by the manufacture if swallowed. My veterinarian told me if he had not brought Lily in as promptly as I did to remove this blockage she most definitely would have died! He told me that this was not 100% digestible as the manufacture had claimed it to be. If it had been it would have dissolved in her stomach! lily had major abdominal exploratory surgery that lasted over 3hours to remove this piece the piece of Moo Bully stick !She was hospitalized afterwards for 4 nights and 5 days. She almost did not make. Lily refused eat for 5 days. She therefore lost a lot of weight became very frail and lethargic. Thank god my veterinarian was fabulous. He was so concerned for Lily that he actually stayed by her side at night every night making sure he did everything he could to pull her through this. Once home she was weak and could barely walk. I tried to get her to eat and she refused. I was offering her cooked chicken liver and even this did not even entice her to eat. Finally the next day she did begin to nibble on some food.
great bully sticks Even though my lab puppy is not chewing these much right now they are still the best bully sticks by far. No odor at allthank goodness! Other brands really reek like dead fish.
Best ones I have seen yet! These bully sticks are very thick and lasted about 3 hours with my boxers. They are by far the best ones I have seen yet! Usually the ones I buy at Petco are 7.
I wish I could give these chews more than 5 stars!!! I think I have actually reviewed this product once before but I am MORE than happy to review it again. These chews are HANDS DOWN the BEST dog chews on the market today they are clean and odor free. My 3 year old Irish Jack Russell Terrier does not have any digestive issues with these chews. I buy them by the dozen so we always have them on hand.
Free Range Dog Treats. Just the fact that this product contains nothing artificial is a Plus! But more important is the animals from which these products are made are free range. The do not have any growth hormones in them nor anything else man made. Just what ever nature has given them. Our two dogs love them and there is no smell or staining. It simply dosen't get any better! Lastly I feel good knowning I'm giving my pets something safe and delicious that they like.
Moo! Bully sticks are the best! My dog loves these! They last forever and aren't as smelly as other bully sticks.
Great for chewers! These bully sticks are great. I buy them for my one year old Golden Retriever. They keep him occupied and the best part is they have no odor. I only wish they lasted longer. He used to take about two days to finish one.
